The CAT is available 365 days a year from the early morning until late in the evening. Whether arriving or departing: The CAT is always easy to reach. It takes only a few steps from the baggage claim area at the airport to the CAT station. In Wien-Mitte/Landstraße you will find the CAT at one of the most important public transport hubs. City Air Terminal Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. (CAT) was founded at the end of February 2002. It is a joint venture of Flughafen Wien AG and ÖBB with an ownership ratio of 50.1% (Flughafen Wien AG) to 49.9% (ÖBB).

Certification
City Air Terminal Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. is TÜV AUSTRIA certified according to EN ISO 9001:2015 and SMS according to EisbG § 39 and EU Directive 2004/49/EC, taking into account the assessment criteria according to Annex II of Regulation 1158/2010/EU.
New trains in November 2027
From November 2027, the City Airport Train (CAT) will set new standards in airport transport: new five-carriage double-decker KISS trains from Stadler will be deployed on the route between Vienna Airport and Vienna city centre. The KISS200 model has been specially designed for high passenger volumes. Its modern and aerodynamic design, spacious interior and high level of innovation make the train ideal for busy express services.
A speedy journey between the city centre and the airport: service-oriented, stress-free and environmentally friendly. Thanks to customer-focused services and emission-free traction power, the CAT will impress with its quality and sustainability on its usual route from November 2027.
