CAT at Vienna Airport

Reach the CAT in 5 minutes: Follow the green signs at the counter in the arrivals hall or in the baggage reclaim hall: our staff will assist you. The platform at the airport is just a 5-minute walk from the check-in area or the baggage reclaim hall. After collecting your luggage, the green signs will guide you directly to the CAT stop without any detours. You can’t miss us.

Arrival at the airport

Upon arrival, we’ll be waiting to welcome you at our counter in the baggage reclaim hall. Whilst your luggage is still on its way to you, you can purchase your CAT tickets and other sightseeing tickets for your stay in Vienna on the spot. You can do this either directly from our ticket machines or from our staff. Our staff are always on hand to provide you with all the information you need about travelling into the city centre or to answer any questions you may have about your stay in Vienna.

Departures from the airport

It’s also worth travelling by CAT when you’re leaving. At the airport, there’s a wide selection of restaurants and shops even before you go through security. And there’s also a wide range of shopping and dining options in the boarding area.

To make your time at Vienna Airport even more enjoyable, there are a number of extras on offer: shorter waiting times with FastTrack, a wide range of porter services, and two exclusive lounges. CAT station in Wien Mitte

The CAT’s city-centre station is just a 15-minute walk from St Stephen’s Cathedral. In the Wien Mitte The Mall shopping centre, you’ll find around 60 shops as well as several upmarket restaurants and bars to round off your stay in Vienna.

Luggage can be transported on CAT buses without any problems. However, the CAT City Check-In service for luggage is currently suspended—check-in for flights and the printing of boarding passes for select airlines are still available in the CAT lobby.

Good public transport links
Wien Mitte (Landstraße) station also offers excellent connections to the public transport network: The two underground lines, the U3 and U4, the Vienna rapid transit network, tram line O and bus route 74A all pass through this interchange.

Or you can pass the short time until the next CAT departs in our foyer. You can either use our free Wi-Fi, flick through our free magazines or store your hand luggage in one of our lockers. There are also charging points for smartphones, tablets and other devices, as well as refreshing drinks and coffee available for a fee.

Opening hours: The CAT Foyer is open daily from 5.30 am to 11.15 pm (after 11.00 pm, access is restricted to passengers arriving from Vienna Airport). Our counter is staffed daily from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm.

The shopping centre’s main opening hours are 9.00 am to 8.00 pm on weekdays and 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on Saturdays. However, there are a few shops and venues with special opening hours that are also open on Sundays and public holidays: Wien Mitte THE MALL opening hours.
