Q: Do I have to pay for children under 15 years?

Children under 15 travel free on the City Airport Train (CAT). When booking online, children must be specified, but no ticket price is charged.

Q: How long is the return ticket valid after its date of issue?

CAT tickets purchased from our staff, or a ticket vending machine are valid for 30 days. CAT online tickets are valid for 6 months from the day of purchase.

Q: Is it possible to buy the CAT ticket without taking a flight?

Yes, you can also travel on the CAT without using the check-in facilities or having a valid flight ticket.

The City Airport Train (CAT for short) is temporarily operating (expected to run until 31 October 2027) with increased frequency using premium coaches. This service is the easiest and quickest option for a comfortable journey to and from the airport:

Every 12 minutes daily*, including public holidays, (*between 7 am and 7 pm; otherwise every 15 minutes)
From Wien Mitte/Landstraße (city center): Marxergasse 1b: first bus 5:30 am & last bus 11:15 pm
From Vienna Airport: Terminal 3/ bus terminal/ bus station 0: first bus 6:10 am & last bus 11:37 pm
