With the CAT City Airport Train, Vienna offers a rapid connection between city centre and airport on a par with international standards. In only 16 minutes, the City Airport Train brings you nonstop from the airport to the Vienna city centre and vice versa – without stress and traffic jams and in an environmentally friendly way. The City Airport Train is available to you 365 days a year from early morning to late at night. Whether you are arriving or departing, the CAT City Airport Train is always easily accessible. From the airport’s baggage claim area it’s just a few steps to the CAT station. In Wien-Mitte you will find the CAT at one of the most important public transport hubs. The first train from Wien-Mitte departs at 5.37 am, the last from the airport in the direction of Wien-Mitte at 11.38 pm. For detailed timetable information, please click here.

The City Air Terminal Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. (CAT) was founded at the end of February 2002. It is a joint subsidiary of Flughafen Wien AG and ÖBB with an ownership ratio of 50.1% (Flughafen Wien AG) and 49.9% (ÖBB).

THE CITY CHECK-IN - EUROPE'S FASTEST

With the City Check-in we have brought the airport to the city. Here, you can check-in your baggage up to 75 minutes before departure, get your boarding pass and enjoy the rest of your journey to the airport comfortably and stress-free. In the meantime, you can rely on us to bring your baggage right into your plane.

BARRIER-FREE ACCESS

The CAT is accessible without barriers. PRM tickets are sold by the train attendants in the stations as well as on the train. The wet rooms on the train cannot be accessed by wheelchair but barrier-free lavatories are available at both end destinations.

The City Air Terminal Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. is TÜV AUSTRIA certified according to EN ISO 9001: 2015 and SMS acc. EisbG § 39 and EU Directive 2004/49 / EC, taking into account the evaluation criteria acc. Annex II of Regulation 1158/2010 / EU.
