Construction Site Wien Mitte - Passenger Information

A multifunctional building complex of unique attractiveness is being created at one of Vienna’s most important transport hubs, in immediate vicinity to the historical city centre – Wien Mitte neu.

The building complex above the railway station includes office, shopping and catering areas on 130,000 m² as well as the CAT terminal in its centre and is currently Vienna’s largest inner city project development.

Start of construction 2007, projected completion 2012; regular CAT operation during the entire construction time.

Passengers travelling with heavy luggage and disabled passengers are kindly asked to use the handicapped accessilbe entry.

After arriving in Landstrasse Wien Mitte by subway or train follow the signs to the Exit Landstrasser Hauptstrasse. You will find signs at all train and subway platforms in Wien Mitte showing the way to the handicapped accessilbe entry of CAT.

Where does the CAT City Airport Train depart from while construction works are underway?

The CAT will be operated as usual during the construction phase. Underground / suburban railway station Landstraße Entry to the CAT Terminal Marxergasse / corner Invalidenstraße

Children up to 14 years travel free of charge; older children have to pay the standard fare.
The CAT+CAB brings you from your hotel/residence to the City Check-In at Wien-Mitte and vice versa.

City Check In closed
Due to technical reasons the City Check In is closed on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of February. We kindly ask our passengers to use the check in facilities at the airport. Our trains operate according to normal standards. We will update this information on Saturday 4th of February 6pm. Your CAT-City Airport Train Team
